Welcome the newb !!
Hi all, newbie here. I'm a Buick guy at heart with a GN and project '70 GS 455 4-spd in the garage. I saw one of these while shopping for a car for my 16 yo. daughter, and fell in love when I found out the selling prices. Yes I've tried to talk her into an XF (did I say that right?) but she needs more seats. My wife has decided to downsize from a Mountaineer SUV and wants the '04 we saw w/ 48k miles for under $11k. If she doesn't buy it, I will. If she does, I will look for an '05 SRT. So what should I look for when buying? I would like to stay as far under $15k as possible. Thx.

Well these cars are a great deal. And now more than ever!
Try to find one with low miles and have a private party inspect. I dont trust dealers much anymore.
Welcome! Just hop over to the SRT section of this forum and spend some time looking at what is being discussed. I too love the GN's but for the money, you cant beat a SRT6.

Welcome and yes, definitely stop by the SRT6 area! What better deal is there than purchasing a 1 of 2,016 (before all of the wrecked ones) car with a hand-built AMG engine, AMG drivetrain, 0-60 times under 5 seconds, low miles, Karmann body, for the price of a used Honda Accord?

Welcome aboard and nice to know that you have to nice classic cars! The GN was the king when it came out and was fun to drive. The SRT-6 is a sleeper to say the least. People at the track are amazed of how well they perform with just a few simple mods. Anyway, good luck searching and hopefully you find that special Crossfire that you'll get to love like we have.
daun, could be wrong about the numbers but I have read them on the forum several times. From memory; srt model years 2005 and a few in 2006. Less than 3000 built world wide. 2016 coupes and 928 roadsters. Please correct me if I am wrong as I believed these numbers to be valid. Thanks
