Default Spoiler Housing Starting To Peel

I noticed this problem over the weekend and I need to take some pictures (I don't know how to post pics on here but I will figure it out). The top layer of the plastic/metal housing under the spoiler is starting to peel and it is concerning me. It is tough to describe the location so I will have to take pictures. I had the car almost 4 years and drive it everyday. I keep it in a garage and have 50K miles. I think the sun or water caused this problem.

By the way, my car is always spotless and clean. I take really good care of it.... so it is not an abused child

Could be a defect in that paint. Daimler didn't use high quality paint on Chrysler products!

Anyone have a diagram for taking the spoiler motor out? Just curious how that whole spoiler, motor and housing comes apart. I am going to take pictures of my problem this weekend so you can see what I am talking about. A very strange problem and I am wondering if other people are noticing it.

Antonio, why do you think that? If it was a defective batch of paint, then that could happen even to the best quality paint available.
I know when the shop that did my scoop tried to strip all the paint and primer off the original XF hood that I found, they were very impressed by its paint quality.
Maybe Mike "Moparbust" could give his opinion of the Crossfires paint, compared to other (much more expensive) cars he's worked on.

It is not the painted surface. It is the plastic/metal cover on the spoiler motor. I am going to take a picture today and post it somehow.
