Can a steering wheel be painted...
I recently got a new steering wheel but ordered the wrong color. I thought it was the dark grey for the base but I got the lighter grey instead. Can it be painted to match the interior or would i be better off getting the correct color?
I don't think you'll ever get it to stick. The leather gives just a bit and will cause never-ending problems. Cracking, peeling etc.
Send her back?
Sorry.

A friend of mine found a leather covered steering wheel for his Corvette but it was tan and he needed a black one. He painted it with something called "Marhyde" and 5 years later it still looked good.
Now that was 30 years ago, I don't know if they still make the stuff, but I would have to assume that there is probably something even better now.
