Ticking Sound??
when i popped my hood today while the motor was running i came across a ticking sound...not shure if it was normal or not it just caught my attension today.....if your standing looking at the motor it would be on the left haded side about a foot behind the headlamp....it looks like a relay with a wire going to the motor and a wire leading backtorward the rear of the bay. as i hear the ticking noise i put my hand on the relay looking thing and every click i felt it vibrate. is it normal? or it cause it sat for 5 hours and just turned it on and havnt drove it. is it and oil thing or what?
The first time I heard it, I thought sure I had a lifter bad. But the solenoid is working properly if you hear it ticking, especially after just starting it up. The manual claims it will not modulate until warmed up, that is not the case with mine.

I think I might have this issue. Have an 05 SRT.
Are you indicating in the information provided that it should be removed or is there something I should be doing or replacing?
any help would be appreciated.

This is a Mercedes engine. They all make a ticking sound... and many other different sounds. If you want something quiet, buy a lexus or Jap car.
My engine makes noise too. It is normal. I love that German sound
