I found a used, 2007 beautiful black Coupe yesterday with 30,550 miles on it. 6 speed manual. Seems to have it all, but no power seats and cloth seats at that. Dealer wants $15,880 for it. Drove nice, new tires all around (even has the little spikey things on the tread). Not as fast as an automatic, but I like manuals!

I will probably bring it home tonight.

My second post here!

Seems a little high for a base model coupe with that many miles....IMHO

The price is a good $1k too high. I paid around $14.5k for a Certified Used 07 with less miles.

Well, now I found a 2005 Roadster convertible with automatic (Limited!) with 32,000 miles on it for $15,999 !

Seems like THAT would be more like it.

If you like manuals, do not settle for an auto. I have a 6 speed and my folks have a auto roadster and I do not even like to drive theirs. It is not nearly as fun and in fact, the manual is faster....

I drove a stick and two autos this past weekend at a gathering.... sure seemed like the auto was faster to me, and I am a STICK man!

These cars are the FIRST cars I have EVER driven where the car is so much fun, I am considering an auto 'cuase it seemed fasted to me.

Personally I agree with everyone else that its a little high. I shopped for like 2-3 months and there were a lot of "good deals", but its all whether you want to hold out AND if you willing to travel to get the car. Do a quick cars.com and autotrader search and that will give you a better idea of what you should be paying. I saw a couple on there for like $14K with under 20K miles down there. I love the black coupes though.
Regards,
Steve

I have a stick & and a automatic, the stick is faster......BUT, this is probably only true if the 2 cars are side by side & both parties know that they are all out racing. What happens in the every day real world is....you just don't feel right reving it up & dropping the clutch at every stop light. It's difficult to explain but in the automatic in normal every day driving (away from a stop light) it's less drama to get going ...but, no question about it....in full ***** out mode the stick will beat the automatic version...there's a lot to be said for the automatic though....if the stick guy is not on top of his game ...the automatic guy (if he has his left foot on the brake & gives it a little gas & as the light changes let off the brake just as you stomp the gas)...will win.

I don't care what the EPA #s say, the stick gets better MPG also!

I paid $16700 for a 2007 coupe limited MT6 with 13k miles last August. A base coupe with MT6 should probably be in the $13-15k range. But it seems prices are starting to creep up....finally.

I'm not in the hurry that I sounded like I am!!!! I have made up my mind to find MY car: A red or black or white or maybe Yellow Roadster with a stick! LIMITED not Base model!

And yes, I will travel to find it - I can fly or rent a car one-way if need be.

No, the hunt should be as much fun as the ownership.

well let the hunt continue and good luck, glad you are getting a 6, you will be much more happy. Maybe not in heavy traffic, but 99% of the time, you will be glad you have a clutch under your left foot, especially when that automatic 350Z pulls up and you really need to get up and go LOL

You are wrong, sorry.
In town around traffic an auto would be nice, in light traffic and on the roads and highways outside of towns I'll stick with the manual. I have the AutoStick on my '07 300 and I never use it, its still an auto tranny.

As a reference I bought a NEW 2007 Base Coupe (all base models are black) for $18,500 with no trade-in in April of 2008. So for the miles and such seems like it may be a bit high. I would suggest using the NADA guide or KBB for references as to how much a similar one with the miles you are looking for should retail for...to use as a guide though, not rule of law.

On this topic, I have a littel advice. Buy a roundtrip ticket to wherever you may have to travel to get the car (in case of dealbreakers on the car you didn't know about). Then, if you don't use the return trip you can at least get an airline credit that you can use towards another flight or in some rare instances you may be able to get a refund of the value of the one-way leg you didn't use.

It is almost the same price to fly roundtrip as it is to drive one-way. There are VERY VERY high premiums on picking a rental car up from one location and returning it in a different location.

I do not believe so. The only car that only comes in automatic is the SRT-6 models.

And we have the winning idea of the day (good to show up with another XF owner, too. Less BSing from the sales team?)
