Coming back to Annapolis from York, Pa today on I 83, I came up behind a black Mazda RX 8 coming onto the Interstate. It immediately accelerated, and I kept pace. Without even realizing it, I glanced at the speedo and we were doing a bit over 100 almost instantaneously.

We both backed off quickly, even though '83 is straight and wide, and there was no traffic, it's a speed trap nightmare. The RX8 had the magnet dealer tag on the rear deck lid.

I cruised by slowly, saw a woman driving, and saw her mouthing to the guy next to her, as she pointed to my car: "What's that?" Ahhh....somebody's taking a test drive....

I paced her slow enough so she could read the Chrysler emblem and "Crossfire" on the back of the car.

My guess is that she'll be test driving an Xfire on Monday.

Pleased to announce no 1st gear problems.

 

haha, thats a great story... not only does the Crossfire look better, Chrysler knows how to properly rate the hp of a car.
