Doing some hard cornering with the car, as in a quick tight direction change as on an autocross course, a couple of times at hitting the apex my car seems to stall for a split second, almost feels like fuel starvation (if it had a carb).

Thoughts? Is this the 'engine torque reduction' talked about in the manual if the traction control is on? In both instances it did happen just as there was slight spin at one wheel.

 

Yes. Try it again with the traction control off and it won't happen, but obviously be careful.
