What Is YOUR Top Speed?
How are you guys getting 156 in a NA? Any mods, going down hill, or something else? I thought the NA was limited to 149? Well, this is from this morning...

Both the N/A & the SRT are limited to the same speed, 158mph.
As to how we got it to the limiter we just mash the pedal & keep it that way

141 in my pontiac trans am heading for AZ. going thru Texas . I was going to see if I could hit the 150 mark when someone started to gain on me while I was going 141 !!! I thought it has to be the law !!! I slow down to about 90 when this flys by me !! I said to myself oh hell no got back on it when the wife wakes up yelling at me !!! What are you doing going 110 !!! If she only knew we where at 141 !!! So I had to let that Z go !!! Never did find out if that Trans Am would hit the 150 mark !! It was a 74 model year with the 455 engine !!! Oh that baby could fly on the open road !!! Never have gone pass 100 in any car since !! Always start to think about a tire or something letting go !!!!

This is from page #234 of the Crossfire Owner's Manual SRT-6, 1st edition, #81-026-0546. I don't have access to the '04 manual since I'm at work (& therefore should probably NOT be farting around on this forum
I'll have to check this out later when I get home.......
The several responses with guys in 70's muscle cars over 150 is a little hard to believe..... Unless there was some suspension work done, most of those cars literally floated all over the road above 100, much less 150.
I may not be old enough to have driven them then, but a friend has a 100% stock GTO goat ~400HP that I get to drive every once in a while....

Im not sure what edition my user manual is but my car is an '04. My max speed it stated at 149mph with a 0-60 time of 6.8 sec. Given that these are estimates I would love to think I could squeeze a little more out of her.

1970 Dodge Coronet 440 Six Pack....big old car would do 150....and I was a passenger....the first time I had ever gone so fast...it wouldn't be until my first Kaw 900 Ninja did I see that speed again...never did it again until the '03 ZO6....and now the XF's .....so lets see I'm 56 and I have seen 150 or better only a half dozen times....makes you wonder doesn't it?
But, I have seen 130 or better many, many times....lol

Landing usually sucks though.
248kms/h about 155mph on the GPS against a bmw m3 in south africa....lost the race on pull off but caught him in the long run thanks to the turns.. 04 ltd with filters, exhaust, engine management chip and octain booster in the tank. speed limit here is 120kms/h about 75mph. p.s. love this forum... there are less than 100 XF and i think 25 SRT in the country.
from pull off he left me with 5 car lengths all the way up to 150kmh then a couple of twisty roads came up and i think he got scared.. i caught up on him and sat on his as@ to 248kms no more go in my XF but he could not pull away from me. i had a M3 for a month as a load car....hated every minute of it...thanks for the response that was my first post on this site.... the information on this site is simply
brilliant
