Up until today my top speed was around 130, today i took my crossfire to 158 and it did great! The car was very smooth and confident at that speed!

 

Not exactly what you said in your post # 12. Many Base, limited NA models have reported excess of 150 MPH unmodded. My reference to the SRT was to validate my speed to a companion car your opinions couldn't refute. Your assumption that John's car couldn't do better than 150 basicaly called him a liar. The guys here will challenge that every time..

ROTFLMAO.... I have not seen that one before. That made my gut hurt.

 

Lil, my '04 coupe has hit the limiter at 156mph; it just kinda stops going any faster - it's a weird feeling - so believe John, it can be done easily. Now the SRT has been up to 165 but that's only because it's been Inmotion tuned & the limiter went bye-bye.
And no, I do not have any photo proof, not at those speeds. I'm not interested in trying to snap a picture while zipping along a 2 lane state highway, sorry. My hands are firmly on the steering wheel, in fact, they're attempting to squeeze the wheel into oblivion. You'll just have to believe it or not.
Or take a trip up to NE Wisc. sometime & you can ride along !

 

It is kinda difficult finding someone foolish enough to ride along and take a picture to prove you are doing something so foolish.
So guess what, anybody doesn't believe it when you say you been at 155 MPH can just kiss it.

Chances are fair they don't have the naughty bits in their pants to do it themselves.

Kurts says he did 165 MPH I'll back him up on it.
No I ain't ridin' with him to prove it.

152 in a 1971 440 Magnum Charger in 1975 (floated like a butterfly).

 

Hit about ~125ish on my way home from dinner tonight. Not sure exactly how fast I was going because I was paying attention to the road ahead. It felt rock solid though.

 

I just went to check my video and it won't play on my computer.
Does that mean it didn't happen? Or is it just my computer??

Actually, the first time I had the SRT over 150 was when I had my daughter's new boyfriend in the car with me.
He never asked for another ride - wuss !

Now Franc, you know me well enough to know that I would never attempt to place a friend in the passenger's seat WITHOUT being Yukon'ed first! It's just easier that way!!
And I appreciate you covering my back!

California desert area, nice long flat road not cars cool moring.
Speedo read, so calculate error to these, but still damn fast on a road.
140 in XFire
165 in my vette 5th gear.

 

Tighed1, Scary..... Oh, why did I have to crook my neck hard left to even try to read it? Damn torque transversed the recording? LMAO!

Only been to 135ish with my 02 camaro so far. Since the XF is now technically 'broken in', maybe I'll risk a run or two. Not really interested in white-knuckled-all-out-*****-to-the-wall top speed, I actually believe the past XF reviews that it'll do 150+. I just cannot afford the ticket/tow/insurance hit trying to top speed the lil beauty. Maybe the local AFB will let me try their runway someday for a straight run??? Nawww

 

I am hoping to hit above 115 here on my trip to Vegas in a week or so. I have gone about 130 in the '69 Chevy Impala I had in high school.

Talk about a scary ride. I was dark and a very straight road. But I was younger and not as wise then...
