the crossfires use a different kind of throwout bearing. its one piece on its mount, which bolts to the transmission.
and thats just a standard oem replacement clutch, nothing fancy

I was just thinking it was the throwout bearing when I was writing that reply, and it's called something else, not a throwout bearing. <shrug> I was also thinking that there's no way it could be a performance clutch, that it was probably OEM. Still, even OEM, it's cheaper than the actual parts, so it's still a steal.

I realize it is simply an OEM replacement, but for many who are not after the performance aspect, it is still half the price and if it is OEM quality, I would say we have quite a find. Especially considering no one else out there makes any replacement parts for us. I think this is a good sign. I would still personally want a performance cluctch, but many (in the next several years) are probably going to need replacments, I was trying to see how it matched to OEM as far as build and quality.....

I would imagine its right on par with stock. alot of times when you see a replacement oem clutch like that. more than likely they made the oem clutch in the first place.. like exedy eith the honda stuff,

I've seen the kit around, i thought about ordering just so i can have a clutch built off of it

Yeah, this looks like a great find for anyone that needs an OEM clutch, Boiler. If either Infinite wants it for his performance clutch information, or perhaps someone might actually need a clutch. It's def a good thing that there are people out there producing parts for us still, considering that Chrysler has problems to deal with right now, and I doubt they're looking to help us lowly Crossfire owners out.

Exactly why this find is a good thing for those of us that might need a new clutch. Because soon, I think we're -all- going to be in the boat looking for custom fabricated parts, because there just won't be any OEM parts left.

Hold off on this Infinite. I have been speaking with a few salvage companies that have gotten wrecked manual XFs and have found some interesting info. The last clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel they sold was under $300 total and less than 5K on the clock. If we can find a sweetheart deal like this, we are gravy. I will keep emailing and see what I can find, but if we find a decent setup for mockup at a good price, can you have the parts fabbed at a price that not astronomical?

im going to say, and dont quote me, a clutch, depending on needs, about 550 or less for performance
flywheel, not sure yet as i need one to send in

so if you can find me a flywheel, disc, and pressure plate we'll be golden

I will continue to look, and that price sounds amazing, especially considering the ~900 price tag of this one.....
