Default TPMS Help

Went to check my tire pressure this morning cause light was on. Twisted the cap off and my valve stem sheered off. Had to get towed to shop this morning and they are looking for the parts. How much do the TPMS cost? can i go with regular stems and pull the fuse so there is no light?

Sorry to laugh, but the same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago! The whole valve stem came off the right front wheel.

The stealerships told me it was on national backorder, so I called the Goodyear Tire store around the corner. They had me going in about 4 hours (the truck had to bring the part), all said and done out-the-door for $112.00!

Is there access behind the dash, or removing the instr panel, to get the bulb out for the TPMS warning indicator?

I just took in my wheel when I had mine fixed........ I plan to take the car in for some other issues, so my TPMS light has been on since the repair. I'll have them reprogram it when I take the car in.

I have had no problems, warnings, alerts, buzzers, etc. since it was fixed. I wouldn't worry about it.

No audible sounds with the TMS ....just a light on the dash.

Done. Got out the door for 130 including tow. Also whats the law on TPMS and properly maintaining a vehicle? A guy at work told me if I get into a wreck because of my tires now i could be held responsible because I disabled my standard sensors. Any truth to this?
