What system are you talking about? Dealer connect, or something else?

I'll ask the Tech Advisor where he got his TSB information from. I should see him in the office on Monday.

I have no idea what system--what system do they look TSB's up in? He said he punched in my VIN and no TSB's came back on it for the radio. I also gave him the TSB and he said it's not "in THE system". Any insight would be appreciated...

Default radio

Did you get this posted?

On monday, I'll scan the TSB and upload it to my server in PDF format. You can print it out and hand them the offical form. It will provide all the information they need to get you the right radio and get them paid for the parts / labor.

After Chryslertech made the post saying it was in the dealer system, I didn't scan it.

I did however scan it, but while walking back to my desk I saw a little box at the top saying:

This bulletin is supplied as technical information only and is not an authorization for repair. No part of this publication may be reproduced, stored in a retreival system, or transmitted, in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, or otherwise, without written permission of DaimlerChrylser corporation.

Basically I shouldn't do it, so I won't. No sense in me loosing my job over it.

Just call the dealership up. Tell them you are aware of a TSB out on your vehicle for radio replacement. Give them your vin number. If they are having issues pulling up the TSB, give them the following info:

TSB # 08-036-03
Group Electrical
Date December 12, 2003

DFWSBR is absolutely correct..... I gave my service manager the number, he looked it up and ordered my new radio. It was installed yesterday and works great!!! DC really came through nicely. I'm a happy camper.

The Service Manager at our Chrysler Dealership (Desert Chrysler) actually called me to tell me he got a TSB for the "Dim Radio Display" that I had complained about, and had already ordered a replacement for us!!! Great Customer Service!!

I just noticed today the revised radio turns the audio down slightly when you come to a stop. A feature that did not work with my (dark) radio.
