Default Newbie from England

Hi Guy's 'n Gals,

Newbie from the UK here, looking to buy a Crossfire Coupe in the next week. I stumbled across this forum whilst searching information on the Crossfire.

There are some very good deals out there at the moment due to the recession. I previously owned a Mitsubishi Evolution VIII which I unfortunately wrote off (I think you guys call it totalled). So decided a change was due and the Crossfire seems to tick all the right boxes.

I recently visited Chicago on a business trip, my first trip to the US, and I loved it. I watched a Baseball game at Wrigely Field and have now got the bug!

Look forwad to getting to know you guys

Regards

Bazzer

welcome dude... the choice out there is, as you say, quite good with prices still not really firming up which does mean that there are some terrific bargains out there (pistonheads and autotrader always seem to have a good range from ropey to A1). As an example I got mine summer time (not normally a good time to buy a sports-coupe lol!) 2 owner, 18.5k, auto and silver-blue for £7.2k which (at the time) was the cheapest, good one I saw (indeed it was cheaper than quite a few ropey ones too!!)

Welcome. Crossfires have gotten cheap on this side of the pond. Not sure about your side. There are quite a few UK members. They have even been known to have outings.

Glad you liked Chicago. I would like to point out that, unfortunately, you chose the wrong baseball team to see. The Cubs are losers. The White Socks are the good guys. Well, on second thought, if you don't know much about baseball then seeing the Cubs is OK.

Seriously solid little cars, you'll spend a lot of time looking at it from different angles & distances.

Welcome to the forum.
Glad you enjoyed Chicago when you were in town.
I live only 40 miles west of there.
Hope you find the perfect coupe soon and begin to enjoy the fun in a Crossfire.

Gary

Wlcome to the forum and I hope in the future you will cheer for the Dodgers!! I have lived in the London area and loved it. Heard of Ealing? The Crossfire is the best bargain you will find. There is a lot of information here to help you enjoy your future Crossfire.

Yep, I've heard of Ealing. I live about 1.5 hours drive North East of London.

I picked up my Crossfire today, a 2005 in Grey with 25,000 miles on the clock for £9750 with 6 months Road Tax and a years MOT. It drives a beauty and I love the V6 scream when gunning it.
