Default Braking System

I work for a leading brake manufacturer and have been appointed Project Manager for the Crossfire.

Does anyone know what braking system is currently fitted to the vehicle, and do they know of any changes that are pending.

Are there any problems with the braking system, e.g noise etc.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Neil :?:

It has the same braking system as the MB SLK! The only problem is too much brake dust!

I think the brake dust problem will diminish as the brakes wear in. Thankfully the Crossfire has only seven "spokes" to clean. My trade-in had 22 - what a nighmare to keep clean.

I've got 3,500 miles and they haven't glazed yet. My guess is they are just very soft pads. I'm replacing mine right after the holidays. I'm getting tired of cleaning the wheels every evening before putting it in the garage..... Wheels covered with brake dust is a pet peeve of mine... When the rest of the car is clean and waxed it makes a car look like the owner pays no attention to detail.
