Default Gauges

Ok, found this picture in the gallery:

Ok, so how did he do it? Is that the place the center vents go? And those aren't standard in an SRT, are they?

So who's gallery did you find the photo? jonnyangel04 & rcompart did the same mod on a customer's car. They replaced the center air vents with gauges. But they said it was a one time thing and wouldn't do it again.

corte00 has them in his gallery, along with four extra switches in teh console, one switch is "engine start", no label on others.

Curiosity drives me nuts. I pm'd him. Does he still post here?

WHERE do you get gagues like that which say "CHRYSLER"?

Here is the console that was custom made by rcompart that has the gauges built in.

Thanks for gettin me up to speed!

Not going to all that expense, but I INSIST on an oil pressure gauge. Sooner or later. (Voltmeter would be nice, too.)

Pretty and Green:
Oil Pressure Gauge (Electric)-Green/White 52mm

Come on just rcompart lol I had close to 120 hours into that work of art not to mention 3 different paint jobs perfect is an understatement. Idk why he paid me so much to make it two pieces, have it professionally painted, to only sand it down connect the piceces and use a bulky trim ring. If I would have know that I would have built it with that instead of an orginal console trimm.

I am HOPING that green dial will strongly resemble the green of the XF's instruments... may blow $50 and order one just to find out. If I do, I'll post what I learn here... and if for some reason I don't install it, I'll just put it in the truck.

I have a question - When you remove the center AC vents what does that do to your cooling? It's gotta have an affect on it. Just wondering ?

Turn your center vents off and that will give you an exact idea on how it will affect things.

I tried it over the weekend (well, didn't run A/C but did run heat).

I won't be deleting those center vents. Period.
