Noise sounds like a loose part that is buzzing at idle. Hit the gas to see if the sound changes timber with a change in neutral engine speed. Might be that simple.

Easy old school lift is to drive with two wheels on the curb and slide under to see whats up. You can on a quiet street drive front wheels up only to see better.

NOw this is old school and that means that you have the old school belly. But it is sturdy and safe to be under with the ENGINE OFF parking brake on and in gear. No one is in car and your the only touching it. But it is easy to see big issues.

Woody and I still fit in the DRY gutter if need be, Ha Ha.

Actually that is how I used to do oil changes, starter motor swaps, and even freeze plugs on my 1959 Tbird I put a 406 into.

Is your hubby interested in wife swap?
Maybe we can start doing that instead of sending the Crossfire Bears all around.

I bet that folks would be a LOT better at sending off the swapped wife than they are with the Bears!

Sorry that I posted that reference to JL, did not mean to offend any one, I was just suggesting to get an oil change and look under the car your self, I my self change my own, and since I worked for a place that used Mobil 1 0W-40, I stocked up on a lot of free oil, to last a while, and I don't run over parking blocks stops.

ouch!....I just read this one....I think I would have it checked out by a mechanic....sooner, better than later...and as far as the mechanic taking advantage, have him show you the broken part or parts prior to disassembly and repair...tell him up front....

True. What I actually didnt realize is that I have an extended "dealers" warranty, so if something is really screwed up, I could hopefully get it taken care of for $100 deductible. I am headed to a mechanic this weekend! Thanks for the help everyone!!
