yeah it is stitching, but i think they may have glued it because it doesnt move at all. it is stuck there.

P.S. i Just ordered these. (price sounds great until you check them out. i paid almost 70 bucks out to door. 20 bucks shipping and handling) Can anybody give me a link of nice, powerful subwoofers that will fit right in? I would like to pick a set of those as well. Thanks.

The 'system' (especially speakers) the previous owner put in were garbage (ebay crap, cheap as hell).

Your first thing to figure out is whether or not he bypassed the factory amp under the passenger floorboard. If he did, you will have to rewire if you want to use a factory head unit (because there is no onboard power). I believe he bypassed the factory amp since the original speakers were subs only capable of up to maybe 150-180 hz and you have full range speakers in there now (can anyone confirm if there are frequency cutoffs in the factory amp?? I have an aftermarket one so I am unaware).

I would recommend doing more homework as to how everything is CURRENTLY hooked up and go from there, I am sure based off the responses that there are many who are willing to help.

Hey thanks John.

I just ordered a pair of Infiniti refence 6022i speakers for doors and looking for a good pair of powerful subwoofers for the rears. I am about to get a factory headunit so once i place my order on woofers, I will be ready do a complete swap "IF" i can get the damn door panels off. Yeah looks like he put cheap stuff.

God, i hope he didnt touch the amp, he just simply hooked the speakers up and that's it. The worst case,

Just found out that the rear speakers werent done by the previous owner, it was done by the dealer. I think the Previous owner too them out of the car before he returned the lease and dealer had to put something there. I have the report in front of me saying that put 2 speakers at the back. According to the sales person they were either blown and empty so they fixed the issue by putting 2 new speakers. I hope he didnt cut anything. Soon i will find out.. I am about to place my order on 2 woofers.

Also you'll have problems putting in the factory headunit. It wont come with a wiring harness because the wiring harness would still be in the car. Judging by what the speakers look like and how their put in I'm gonna guess he cut the factory harness and attatched the wires to the new stereo with electrical tape. If this happen then you will do better getting an aftermarket radio that has the same look then the factory one. If he did it right with no cut wires then your really lucky.

I agree 100%, with a hack looking job on the rears, he probably did cut the harness, and getting another one may not be the easiest thing in the world. If I were you, as I stated before, I would access the factory amp and aftermarket head unit (ampo is under the passenger floor board, easy to get to, pull carpet away from the floor board up underneather the glove box and peal it all back) you will see the factory amp and be able to tell (more than likely) if he has screwed with it and after pulling the aftermarket headunit, you will be able to tell if there is a male and female harnes all wired neatly together, or if the wiring harnesses have been cut out and everything hard wired.

Also, I am not sure if I would have went with 2 way coax speakers There are components in the car for a reason - imaging. If you are going to the factory deck, there are no crossover options, you get what it was designed to do and that is supply midbass to the lower door drivers and highs to the 1" tweeter in the door. Either the tweets in the 2 ways are going to be useless or you can get a higher end head unit and be able to access different Xover frequencies and tell the HU where you want what sound going, but without good components, this is overkill.

There are plenty of options here, but I would caution you against just running out and ordering everything under the sun when it seems you need to do more homework on audio setups and the CURRENT setup in your own car. I am not trying to come off as a d1ck, just trying to save you a little money and frustration

door speakers are Crunch GTR and rear speakers are PYLE brand. Not sure about their size or any other specs. All I know is I am not really satisfied with them. Must sound better than stock since he "upgraded".

I just bid on a stock infinity radio from a 2007 crossfire and I am thinking about picking a pair of Infinity kappa speakers (no idea which size so i will need your help. a link would be greatly appreciated.)

About rear speakers, I want to put something more powerful but I do not want to upgrade the stock AMP. So something powerful enough for stock AMP.

Also, the rear speakers are facing inwards, hard to explain, i will post pics very soon. Basically driver side rear speaker is looking at passenger side and pass. side rear speaker is looking at diver side about 45 degrees. Is this normal or this dude modified it?

The thing that bothers me the most is, my door handles are professionally covered. Whoever did it, did one hell of a job, looks like from the factory. And the problem is, in order to replace the speakers, i need to remove the door panels and in order to replace the door panels, i need to remove two screws from the door handles which i have no access

I don't know what to do at this point, where to start, etc...
First of all what he did was place the factory woofers base backwards, maybe one of the only and easy ways to replace those two sub woofers and use a voice speaker. Take into consideration that the factory amp only offers low bass sound to the rear channels so you have to use another amp to work this out, I'm facing the same problem with mine.

Hey Muscle, when you hit that 14.38 1/4 mile in your box stock 6 spd....any idea what your 0-60mph time must have been....I'm thinking you must have cracked 6.0 seconds or less?

Max, this is an interesting comment...

Maybe I didn't read the original Capacitor thread in it's entirety.

I did the Cap Fix on my Roadster with the Stock HU (No Nav), and never did hear/feel any actual improvement.

I'm guessing the Roadster dosen't have the same Sub's as those found in the Coupe.

And for anyone who's interested, I think the Stock HU sounds chinsey, any replacement would show a marked improvement...IMHO...
