Default Maxcare Warranty Question

I bought a chrysler maxcare warranty through Justin Bean (chrysler dealership in Wisconsin... I live in NY) last year when chrysler was sinking fast. Justin told me that the warranty had a 1 year no payments plan. He sent me the service contract stating the 8year/80K extended warranty $0ded.

Now a year later I go to start making payments and they have switched it to a 7year/85k warranty $100ded. I called and complained so they switched it back to the $0ded, and stated that the 8year warranty is for cars that are certified pre-owned by the dealership selling the warranty (Justin told me that this wasn't necessary as the car was already a CPO vehicle from the previous owner). AND since I live in NY and Justin's place didn't "certify" the car, the most that chrysler can do is keep me at a 7year/85K.

I'm not being unreasonable here correct. This is a classic bait and switch. Should I call back the chrysler service contract place again and demand the warranty that I purchased or what?

-Steve

P.S. I have all the emails saved from justin stating that the vehicle doesn't need anything other than me accepting the deal and making payments (no stipulation for an inspection).

Justin sold a bunch of these through this forum. I was wondering did/does anyone else have this issue? How was it resolved?

Did Chrysler not send you the Extended Service Contract a year ago when the deal was done ? They just now sent it ?

No, they didn't send me the actual service contract. Justin just sent me a link to the chrysler website outlining the maxcare contract, and then he sent me the service contract application, with all of the details. and I was told I'd receive info. in the mail about payments (which just happened).

I never rec'd anything either, just the bills, but when I was at the dealer they ran the VIN and saw that it was under the service contract. I figured I'd just save the final bill, and keep that in the glove box and if there was any issue then I'd just show them that. the basic contact is the brochure. cheesy, no? but effective.

I know justin sold a bunch of these to people of this forum. Is/did anyone else get screwed by not having the dealership perform the CPO inspection?

The only way I found out about this was calling the customer service line with a general question, and they were the ones to inform me that the dealership had switched the warranty post-sale.

I got mine around the same time justin was selling the naxcare,, when i ask for the 8 year 0 duc the person i was dealing with said i couldn't get that 7 year was the best they could do the reason i didn't go with justin was this dealer i went with (me beeing florida and the dealer in WI) but they were giving 200.00 off the cost. so i got a 7 year 70,000 miles for $1200.00 with in a week i had the contract in my hand,, i then went to my dealer to check if it was correct,,, it was and is correct. jim

That is exactly what I am referring to. In order to get the 8/80 you need a CPOV inspection.
I bought the warranty was told that everything was taken care of, and that I wouldn't need the inspection. Now a year later they are telling me that I did.
