Another Problem
When you say nothing happens I expect you are saying the engine does not turn over "rotate" and there is no clicking noises. If you have an automatic transmission it's possilbe the Park/Neutral switch is broken or not fully engaged. Try shifting into park a couple of times. I would next look at the starter solenoid and starter.

First, make sure your battery is fully charged. Trickle or battery charger.
Get a couple beefy neighbors. Promise them beer when the job is done. Have them push the car as fast as they can and then pop the clutch with the ignition on. This eliminates the starter and even a weak(er) battery. If it does not start, you may have a problem with your ignition. Or ECU. Or something.

Do you own a volt meter and know how to use it? You would be able to measure if the battery is at 12 + Volts.
In addition, you can check most of the starter circuit by measure for voltage at the starter solenoid when the ignitiion switch is turned on. Put the + clip lead from the meter onto the small wire connector on the solenoid, and the negative lead to the chassie/ground of the car. When you push the clutch peddle in and turn the ignition key you should see 12 volts on the solenoid. If you do see 12 volts the problem is either the solenoid or starter. If you do not see 12V the problem is back in the starter circuit wiring. I would go back and check the clutch interlock switch.
If you do not have a meter you can remove both the battery and the starter and most auto part stores will test them for you.

The clutch interlock switch is attached to the bracket that the clutch pedal pivots on under the dash. It could be physically out of place or defective. You can visually check the operation while moving the pedal. You would need an ohm meter to check the switch contacts.

I think your best troubleshooting tool would be a multimeter. You can tap into switches, injector cables, sensors etc. and check for continuity through them. For example, tapping across a fuel injector. A fuel injector is basically just an electromagnet / normally open switch. If you are cranking the car, you should see voltage through an injector.
ok i figured out what it is. The part on the clutch that pushes the pen down fell off i found it under my floor mat. but now i cant get the dash apart to fix it. how do i get it apart??
