Flat tire

Yes,
I took the route you suggested, and got the "we have to have the tire inspected, and if it's road hazard there is no coverage" answer.
They said they had tires set aside for Chrysler owners, but folks I spoke with, and I've spoken with two different supervisors in each of two departments: Customer Care and Warranty, at the number you gave, were not aware of any special actions for Crossfire/PS2 customers.
Thanks, I'll keep you in the loop.

Took out a rear tire Friday around noon. The flat happened on a bridge on the major north/south truck route in Chicago. With next to no shoulder I had little choice but to drive it off the bridge. The tire was shredded but luckily the rim survived. Anyway got towed out of there with no more harm done.
Was towed by the towing outfit that owns the state contract for that stretch of expressway. Was found by a state cop before I could call the the 24 hour towing assistance number. He calls the towing company - no discussion. They set us down in their lot.
Turns out there is no stock of these tire to be found in the Chicago area. Time estimates to get a tire ranged from 2 to 8 days. Still waiting but looks hopeful for tomorrow.
Chrysler couldn't help me because the car needed to be at a dealer before they could spring into action. The 24 hour towing assistance would not tow it because the tire was shredded. That was the end of their help.
The person from my local dealer's maintenance desk told me to put on the spare. That was the end of their help.
There are several lessons to be learned from this, but the major one seems to be that if anyone has to to tow your car, don't let them set it down anywhere but a Chrysler dealer. Another lesson seems to be that regardless of what one may have been told about service and assisstance it doesn't take much to be on your own. There is also still some reason for concern involving spare parts.
Love the car. Not discouraged but am disapointed.

I've had mine for 3 days now and the first morning after I took it home the light came on for a little while then went off. Then this happened again after I drove it the next morning,,,light went off. I went by the dealer and the guy told me that they would have to adjust it or something like that, would only take 5-10 minutes. This is day three and it hasn't happened, don't know if I should take it in or what. Anybody else have this happen?
If it's pretty cold in the mornining and your tire pressure is right at the minimum it will make the light come on until you get some heat in the tires and the pressure comes up. Check you tire pressure when they are cold and see if you are where you should be. PSIIs are 32 lbs. front and 33 lbs. rear. I don't know if the Continentals are the same.
I had the same issue, if you want to call it that, with mine. Dealer said they needed to make an adjustment. If they did, it made no difforance. I just keep toping off my tires on every cold day untill we passed the coldest one. sence then the light has stayed out and all has been well now for the last 2 months. I will prob need to lower the pressure when summer
comes along if the pressure gets to high..........we will see. It sure does make you keep an eye of your tires and pressure ( prob. a good thing ).

Last weekend a Michelin dealer inspected my tire that had the bubble in the side wall. This is a dealer that Michelin directed me to.
Two other M. dealers said the problem was road hazard, plain and simple. That 99.9% of the time it's road hazard and not a manufacturing defect. One dealer wouldn't even come outside to look at it, just said 'road hazard, not covered.'
Anyway, the dealer I was directed to saw NO blemish or damage of any kind to the tire or the wheel, and reported that to Michelin. I got a call at work from Michelin today saying they will replace the tire at no cost...couldn't care less how many miles I had on it.
Since I had already replaced from Tire Rack, even though they offered to reimburse I asked if they'd simply send me a new tire. Local Chrysler dealer is selling me a new wheel supposedly at his cost...$380 (he says they retail for $100 more). I'm gonna have the new tire mounted on the extra wheel and keep it around so I can quickly get mobile again in case of problems.
Michelin came through, although their dealers left something to be desired.
Thanks AZ Outlaws for the suggestions on dealing w/Michelin.
