2007 Base owners (specifically), and base owners in general.
Re: 2007 Base owners (specifically), and base owners in general.
This topic and some solutions were covered last year. See:

I had the same problem, which I polished away and have been able to keep it shiny with a little polish and wax. I have found that the car is better the farther I keep it away from the dealer.

Basically the idea now is to get a tally of how many bases had or have this problem, when they were built, and to see if we can find a correlation. Maybe then someone can submit a formal complaint with this evidence (although I doubt Chrysler will do anything about it) and it can serve as a warning/advice to those who own or come to own the affected batch of cars.
Thanks for the link though. No doubt it will come in handy when actually fixing the issue. I agree with the point that dealerships are almost useless when dealing with Crossfires. I try to visit one as least as possible.

Brucero you beat me to the punch. I looked up that old thread last night but didn't get time to post it.
We both used the Scratch X over 8 months ago and both of our trims have held up with a great shine.
If I can avoid Chrysler service dept. I will.

Re: 2007 Base owners (specifically), and base owners in general.
Hi guys. Well, I just brought my 2007 base black coupe to the dealer where I bought it. The body shop manager looked over the surround pieces, took my vin number and mileage back to his office, and came back and said that he ordered the parts. They are going to cover it under warranty. A year ago, I brought the car in because one of the pop in wheel covers had delaminated. He covered that too. He didn't know how long it will take to get the parts, but at least they'll cover it. For those of you still under warranty, maybe it's a good idea to take it back to the dealer - who knows, they may have a TSP on this problem. Anyway, I'll let you know when the parts come it, and when the work is done. Thanks for (re)starting this thread!

That's all I've found on the subject, and that's just how to remove it.
