Content with stereo system?
Don't have a Crossfire but sat in one today at the dealership and listened to the radio (boy was i suprised when it turned on without the keys in the ignition). It sounded pretty good. Nice solid feel to it with the base at +9, not slouchy or too boomy, nice and tight
. Now I just gotta make enough money to get myself one
It's interesting btw how you can turn the fan on when the cars off? Nice feature for those ppl always waiting with the car off... keeps u cool in the summer!
>>> For Reg Kittrelle:
The installer might have connected the wire for 'memory' to the switch also, making the unit default to radio when switched on. Most modern stereo's have two 'hot' wires. One for the switch and one for a constant battery connection to keep the unit remembering where it was when you get back and start the car. Hope this helps :lol:

This question has gone around before... I think the stock sound system is better than average but still not impressive. The bass, to me, is bloated and thrummy, like they're trying to impress. I replaced all speakers with Focal and added McIntosh head unit and amp. I'm using an Alpine sub amp for the rear "subs". The little Focal sub drivers are pretty impressive for their size. The amps and crossovers are in the rear fender wells - plenty of room in there.
While I was at it, I added sound absorbing material inside all panels - huge amount of work.
I also added a Sirius satellite system but canceled it because of the poor sound quality - sounded like good AM.
NOTE to those interested in satellite: the antenna will go under the dash and work well. Remove the dash panel where the 2nd airbag switch is to access that area.

Hi Reg,
I went with the Sirius as that is what I have in my PT Cruiser which is an in dash Mopar/Alpine GPS-satellite-AM/FM-cd player and Sirius offers a 50% discount on additional subscriptions. I have no problems with the quality of the sound.
