Default Mobil1 Oil for $4.99/quart

I just got this ad in the mail and thought I should let everyone know. Starting tomorrow 4/28/2010 until 05/25/2010 Schuck's/O Reilly Auto parts is having a sale for Mobil1 Oil at $4.99 per quart limit of 12. I'm in Seattle, WA. I dont know if it's nation wide or not. So check your local Schuck's/O Reilly Auto Parts Store. I'm gonna stock up with the the summer coming. Summer = Cruising Time. Just need a filter deal now.

Post if it's on sale in your neck of the woods.

check my thread for details about advanced auto and autozone deals. Filter included, and if they don't have it they will usually just refund you the cost of the filter. Here's the filter I get:

Amazon.com: Wix 57078 Cartridge Lube Metal Free Filter, Pack of 1: Automotive

yeah I know about the autozone and advanced auto deals. 5qt and filter for $30, so $6per qt. Mobil1 Filter don't really count as they dont fit the XF.

O Reilly deal is only $5per qt.

Good find on the filter though.

The deal isn't running at o'reilly in socal. The autozone deal is cheaper anyways and here's how. The ad says the filter is valued at $13. So make the order and have them refund the $13 filter back in the system and apply it towards more wonderful oil. Therefore its about $4.29 a quart assuming you pick up the extra two quarts at the regular price of $7 a pop. You could actually apply it towards a second $30 order and do the same thing, as it would be even cheaper per quart in that case.

Isn't it sad when right in front of your eyes a guy decides ....thinking is just too difficult.

I went to Advance (29.99 5 quart + a Mobil 1 filter) & tell the manager....(I did this last year also)....I want 3 of those deals & I want to then return the filters for credit because Mobil 1 doesn't make a filter for my car. He says oh that's shady & I don't want to jeopardize my position with the company. Now keep in mind, in the past they did not refund the "shelf price" of a Mobil 1 filter...it was more like 7-8 bucks. That was a good deal. So if he did what I asked....I'd get (per deal) 5 quarts for about $23.

He then says, well you could just get some other filter & keep it & he would throw in a $10 customer coupon....so I would only have to pay $19.99 + tax. I guess he offered this $10 coupon cause he thought I would be getting a filter I could never use???? I then showed him the Purolator L25277 filter kit & said how about I get this one with each deal....he said sure......I'm thinking ...this is so sad!

So each deal with tax included was $21.50 = 5 quarts + what really is the Mann filter kit that the dealerships want 30-35 $ for.....

I'm still laughing my *** off.....

OMG lol so true. I called an autozone yesterday and had to break it down for them like 3 times before they understood what i was clearly saying. Then I was put on hold for 5 minutes while the rep spoke with his manager. He came back with the answer, verbatim, "that would be cheating the system"....... o.0

So i'll be buying the 3 deals, taking the filters to another autozone, returning them, and retroactively applying the credit to the initial receipt. I swear I'm living the movie "idiocracy".
