realistic price
My Wife has developed hip problems, and I'm probably going to have to sell our 2007 Crossfire LTD oyster gold coupe.
It has 34,000 miles on it, looks like new. No dents, newer tires, kept inside, adult driven, and we are non-smokers in our 50's.
Can someone give an educated estimate on how much we might expect to sell it for? I assume a dealer trade in is not the way to go.
Sticker price was $38,000+
Thanks very much, Steve

Sticker price means nothing. By the 2007 model year Chrysler was having a fire sale on them. There have been forum members that bought them new in the last two years at 50% of sticker.
Realistically the value is probably between $12K and $15K on the high side. These are great little cars but resale value is weak. Many of us will hang onto ours until "they pry them from our cold dead hands."

I have found that Edmunds - true market value to be the best in close to true price you can sell for for !! Remember always ask more you can always go down in price !!!!!!! People always want to talk ya down makes the feel better that they got a good deal !!!!!!
I just sold my 2004 Coupe with 42k miles for $8,800 on ebay.
Car was perfect.
Had a watch on lots of XF's on Ebay and most were not meeting their reserves and bids were in the $8k to $9k range.
Our cars are wonderful. Their resell values suck.

You can probably get more for the wife, even with a bad hip. Mine had hip replacement and struggles to get in and out, but still likes to go for rides in the XF. I suggest buying a big old beater for driving the wife and keep the XF for your personal ride.
Don’t mean to throw water on your fire (no pun intended), but the price you get for your car is directly related to what the buyer is willing to pay for it. Regardless of book values.
Several things enter into the equation of selling or buying a car, how badly do you want to sell it and how badly does a buyer want to buy it?
In my instance, I bought a 2006 coupe about 7 weeks ago, and got the price just about where I thought a 06 should be selling for. I purchased from a larger no negotiations dealer. They gave me a price which I thought was about 2000 to high, I made them an offer and the guy told me “no, sir we are a no negotiations dealer.” I advised him that’s the deal, cash right here right now and let me know if y’all change your minds.
Two days later I got the call and got the car for 1800 dollars under the original asking price. What I’m saying here is that they wanted to sell it 1800 dollars more than I wanted to buy it. Find someone who will die for a Crossfire and maximize your selling price.
