Default Removing electronic limiter

It says on wikapedia that the crossfire can do 181 mph (with the limiter removed) is that true? if so how can you remove the limiter?

Is 155 MPH not fast enough for you?

In my opinion just leave it alone. There is no need to even go beyond 130 MPH.... unless you are trying to commit suicide!

Depending on how you do the math, 176 to 184 MPH

My limiter has been removed and I know 160MPH is easily, and comfortably attained. I would be absolutely amazed if 181 was not acheivable.
But, one would need the right conditions of DA, fuel, safe road and nerve.
I have, as yet, not found them all serendiputiously together at the same time.

You'd be traveling 264 feet per second, thats basically the length of a football field every time you blink.
The officer would barely have time to raise his gun into position and pull the trigger before he saw you and you passed him.

That being said, on a public road with an unprepared surface, those speeds are suicidal. Unless you happen to be on an empty highway @ 3am where the only life being taken is youre own.

Carry a GPS.
I would not do it at night. Imagine hitting a deer. Instant sausage.
And the deer wouldn't look too good either

I saw a motocyclist do 194 MPH in the quarter milelast summer. Prepared track prepared bike Prepared driver. Still, scary as hell.
I asked him how the hell did he hang on accelerating that fast? He spread his thighs open "Velcro!"

That said, if you can find the right place and conditions go for it. But one would have to be properly prepared. Plan for the worst outcome. Hope for the best.

Remember, there is no "reset" button on a Crossfire.

Infinite 's words are true advice. Heed them.

BTW, no one has answered your primary questions. How does one get it removed?
Get a tuner, like Eurocharged, to do it. They can drop a flash tune in to your crossie and custom program it to perform optimaly for the way you drive.
www.Eurocharged.com
If you ae coming to the CAA they will be there doing tunes on Monday June 21st.

I've touched 140 in my roadster and 150+ in my SRT6 and A6, but other than an ECU flash, I don't know of any way to remove the electronic governor.
