First of all Welcome to the forum !!!

You say it was owned by an elderly couple.
Chances are it will go even quicker with a throttle reset.

Throttle Body Reset

1. Get in your car

2. Turn the key to the on (not start) position, the position just before the starter turns over.

3. Press the gas pedal to the floor with the key in the "on" position.

4. Hold the pedal to the floor for five seconds, then turn the key back
to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas
pedal.

5. Wait 2 mins. for a full alignment.

6. Drive the car and ya might notice a difference in throttle response.

I considered looking for a roadster, but they don't have the roof line that the Crossfire is known for. They just aren't the same without the sexy rear, IMO.

BTW, are the little "slash" decals on the side just a crossfireforum.org thing? Because I saw a white roadster the Wednesday with the little silver "slashes" on the side skirt right in front of the rear tire.
Those are "Slasher Stripes", I know they are available from the CICCI club store. I'm not sure if you need to be a member to buy from the store. You could PM Gary-Valkryderguy. H e can tell you if they sell to nonmembers or not. Hope this helps

Already done. lol

Yep, it did improve it alot. The throttle was much more responsive. When cruising it was much quicker to respond. I've since driven in traffic and now its back to the mushy throttle which is fine with me for the daily drive. It makes the reset even more fun and enjoyable.

Another question, when I push the gas pedal down all the way to the floor and the car takes off, the pedal seems to click down into like a notch. Is that like a setting to let the car know not to let up or something?

Sounds like you've found the "Warp" speed button under your gas pedal. Only the "Automatics" have it.

In all seriousness, is it really effective or just the pedal?

You aren't too far off from me and I make some trips to NW Arkansas from time to time. You may have seen me...

I've seen this plate location before. That's a razor blade in front of your face. Should consider a different place or risk the ticket (assuming Texas requires a front plate). I normally eschew telling other people what to do, but that was 52 stitches across my brothers forehead.

New Texas plates are vinyl. I don't think they would do much damage. I am in Texas and don't even have a front plate on the car at all.
