What is the normal idle speed on these motors? I did search but nothing came up. Mine seems to be about 500rpm which seems low?

 

Nothing to worry about, thats normall for our cars

 

Yes, my Crossfire Idles very quickly down to about 500 rpm; this happens even in cold weather. MB makes a great engine.

The same issue is also happening to me now about the Idle speed.
Did you ever resolve what the issue was?
I am in Manchester, England and to get a mechanic to look at my car without pulling their face is very difficult for me.

 

Their is no issue if your idle is around 500rpm

The car is still going but last year the idle speed was 650 and now something has happened to cause this?

My Limited 2005 idles about 500. Over the years it has slowly decreased. If the car runs well and isn't running rough. You do not have any problems.
The Powertrain Control Module, (PCM) monitors many sensors and adjusts the idle to the condition of the engine. There is no way for you to adjust the idle. That is the job of the PCM. Relax and enjoy the ride!
