Default Grinding Noise Right Front Wheel ?

Coming home from the bear mountain cruise night tonight, after checking out all the great cars & bikes , I felt a little frisky and took a hard left hander. Then I heard what could only be described as a grinding noise. It seemed to come from the right front wheel. As I slowed down the noise slowed with me. I got out and checked the right front but I couldn't seem to find anyrthing wrong. Got back in and slowly made my way home. Now I can't reproduce the noise, but there are other type noises coming from that area. The car comes off warranty in about a month. Besides the obvious (take it in) Does anyone have a clue what it might be ? Thanx For all your help This is a great forum. WOOF

The only real way to know if to get in there and take a look.

Look at the condition of the brake pads.
Look at the front springs.
Spin the wheel, and see if you hear the noise.
Look at the control arms and the sway bar link, and see if anything looks broken.

BC.

maybe a bad wheel bearing? when you turn you put lots of stress on the outside wheel (right front wheel if you are turning left). as wheel bearings fail you often hear a noise when turning in one direction.

It wasn't the suspected wheel bearings... About a week and a half ago,my wife and I were out, we passed a construction zone. While going by the construction site, something went under the car, it made a metallic or a glass sound. Right away I cursed the workers for leaving stuff in the road. Got home and everything looked fine. 2 days ago when I changed the oil, I had the car on the lift and checked out the underside of the car...it looked fine.....Apparently a rock got wedged up by my front wheel, was there for a week and a half. When I took the hard left turn , it must have settled in a bad place. the rock was removed and there are no further issues. It was a very unlucky thing to happen. Luckily the car is just fine. Thanks DOG
