Sorry, Cross...I'm really starting to hate doing this to you. No, your spelling is still not correct.
"Your right, Mr. know it all." Should be "You're right, Mr. Know It All."
You got 'your' and 'you're' (as in 'you are') mixed up, and Know It All actually should've been capped in this case, but we can let that one slide.
Just remember, you didn't put any restrictions on the number of cars sold, you errantly thought Lotus sold only 300 cars, and you still haven't commented on Porsche or Miata...
I'm mystified why you're (you are) trying to defend your (possessive) statement that 2 seaters don't sell, no matter who makes them. You goofed. That's all. We all do it.

You have no facts so you pick on spelling!!Go bye bye now!Whiner

You've got another... oh, never mind.
What ARE you talking about???? You said: 2 seaters don't sell, no matter who makes them. When shown you're wrong, you start adding all kinds of new 'rules' and phony numbers. Miatas don't sell? Porsches don't sell? Where did you say all the 2 seaters you were talking about had to be in the same 'class?' In other words, Huh?
I'm still the same person, Cross. It's a shame that folks get angry at us when we have some legitimate gripes with this car. The shoving elevates to this, and I apologize for my share in it...to you and everyone else.
But please, don't diminish our concerns with name calling or pointless numbers games. We bought these cars, and while no car has all the problems, many have some of the problems. Combine that with spotty (and I'm NOT including your dealership) dealer service, as well as falling retail prices, and reasonable folks have good reason to be disappointed overall.
Feel free to disagree, I'm envious of folks who've had few or no problems, and feel sorry for those who've had big problems. But it's not fair to tell us our thinking is wrong. It's also not accurate.
Wes is right, we can opt out, and some of us are. Getting to this point was a slow process, and for me the last straw was the announcement of Crossfire Light and now new cars selling for under $28K in my market. $7,000 is not the same as Dave Burns' airline ticket example. Not the same at all.
I agree resale isn't everything, but it IS something, and the math has gotten to the point where I'm opting out. Ok?
And you're VERY right, there will be lots of problems with the Lotus, which stands for Lots of Trouble, Usually Serious. It's also very ugly.

Kush goodluck! There's no talking sense to a car expert like yourself.I'm sure the Nissan forum will welcome your expertise.
I hope they don't offer rebates or drop the price on the Nissan you might have to sell again.
Damn, what a bunch of emotions in text  Well my Crossfire is staying mine. Yes, Ive noticed the brake dust, but I have no odd noises of any kind, and no windnoise whatsoever. My glove box lock is fine, my window buttons are correctly configured to roll down if you push the bottom and go up if you push the top. My CD player is the updated one, I haven't hit any curbs with my wheels, no bubbles in tires. No water in headlights, no sagging seats. Still looks showroom new
I haven't had it serviced at the local dealer yet so I can't comment on the service yet. I will make an appointment first though.
Good luck to those leaving the CF community, I still love mine and its the best car I can think of for the 30k I spent. It may not be made with the 05 SLK parts but its full M-Benz and is the tightest driving car Ive ever experienced. Its not for everyone but its the weirdest, coolest car ive ever driven, or owned. 8)

Shame you aren't all chicks! then we could get a paddling pool, some mud, a few beers and watch you all wrestle it out....
Just as well you dont all own guns (I hope!)
Who cares... not me..... its only a car, not exactly life or death is it :!:

I see posts on here that mention the WRX as a comparable vehicle in the $30k market. Have any of you ever ownded aSubaru? They are just about as flimsy and junky as a Yugo! I have made thousands of dollars working on them, never have liked them and sure wouldn't even think of buying on instead of the Crossfire! It's no better quality than a Toyota Tercel and I guarantee it won't last like one. I'm absolutly happy with my Crossfire and will be keeping it and my PT till the cows come home.
I've had a 'scooby' and it was great fun, fast and reliable....
But the Crossfire....
It looks cool... Its fast..... Its fun.... (and the ladies like it & it helps me have lots of sex (with the ladies of course!) - which is always a good reason to buy one) oh... and it has a loud music system.

And you thought this was a Crossfire "enthusiasts" forum.
I have re-read all the posts in this thread. Here is what I find the most interesting:
At one point, unhappy owners complain that D/C has not done enough to advertize and promote the sale of this vehicle, which lowers the resale value of their car. Then they are angry that there will be more of these cars on the road and they won't be exclusive anymore, which will lower the value of thier car.
You really can't have it both ways....
Now I promise not to post to this thread anymore.

Drum roll please.........................................
Well spotted Sherlock, you've managed to identify that people posting here have more than one opinion? But hang on a minute..... that would mean that everybody is.... Normal!
Lets all drink Guiness and dance till dawn

Goodluck Kush and Goodbye
Just to let you know Miata sales have really dropped. They sold 11,308....not a great seller  Porsche sales were 55,000 for all their models  Not a big seller either.Chrysler sold 2.1 million vehicles last year.Sports cars are great but will never be big seller's.You will also lose 6 to 10 grand the first year on any sports car.The Crossfire has bad resale like every other sports car.I think this thread is done now.
