Question about temp. guage
My husband just bought me an 06' white crossfire, 6 spd. and I have a question about the temp guage. Does the needle always stay in the middle between hot and cold? Every other car that I've owned always stayed way below the middle. It doesn't seem to be running hot, just normal.
Thanks for letting me know! and thanks for welcoming to the Crossfire forum. I now have my pictures posted and have another question. The side mirrors have the smaller square mirror in them, are they very hard to remove or place somewhere else? Where they are at does me no good at all..
Welcome. Actually my gauge runs just below the half mark under normal driving. It will run at half or just slightly above with the AC on in traffic or driving hard. You should be just fine as the others have said.
As for the spot mirror, on a hot day with the mirror in the sun, you can usually peel it off with your fingers. If not, take you time with a razor blade behind it. I have also heard you can use fishing line to cut the mirror loose.
You will need new double sided tape to reinstall.

Alot depends on what they used to attach them with.
I know taking my xfire to a chrysler dealer will be expensive so any tips on how to find a good mechanic that stand behind his work or do i find a shop that works on foriegn cars, any tips will help.
Texpitt, what part of Texas are you in? I keep seeing a lady in an Alabaster the last few days. I have not seen her before, so I am wondering if you are in the D/FW area, or if I am just seeing another as a fluke.
A hair dryer on 'hot' should loosen that small mirror right up... and welcome aboard
Insofar as the temp gauge, it is most important to note where 'your' car runs... all cars are a bit different, and it's still in that same area while you operate it.

When I open the hatch, I noticed on both sides where the hatch meets the back of the car there is rust. Please see pictures and let me know what to do..thanks for the welcome from everyone and glad to be here, I've learned so much from this forum!

Normally there is a small piece of plastic type material that is attached to that spot where the hatch 'foot' sits.. at least on the three that I have had... I actually put a thicker piece of rubber ESD mat in that location on my Aero to cushion it...
Looks like your going to need a little paint touch up and then cover with a piece of thick mylar or some other material to prevent the vibration of the hatch from rubbing..
The other thing is to find out why your hatch is vibrating so much... sound like it isnt tight... you can adjust the little 'feet' down to get a snugger fit.....

Thanks for the information. I will definately look into fixing that ASAP and what is causing it.
Does anyone happen to know where I can get a VIN report FREE??
