The upholder closes real easily if you push it back as if to open it further - just some extra pressure really and it unlocks the mechanism. Piece of cake.

My car doesn't have this feature. Is it an SRT6 thing?
Or is my car odd man out?. Something else I hear is that 05's don't have the shiny silver console. Mine is glossy. What gives?

That's what I have found and it works smoothly. The manual just says to push it down and that is probably what breaks the mechanism.

Think it only works on automatic trans cars. Insert your key, turn it to the start position and release. Car will continune to crank until the car starts without you holding the key in the start position.

Cool thread. Waiting to learn something I already don't know about the car.

True... a Blue SRT6 is faster than a black Prius. ... just don't go up against a black SRT6, it will only make you want to paint your car.

Here's another one for ya 13.

Press and hold both buttons on the key remote until the light (red lens at top of key fob) blinks twice. Now when you press the open button both doors and trunk will open with one push instead of two!

Repeat procedure to go back to two presses to open passenger door and trunk (why??)

This is for security reasons... assuming you are approaching your car in an 'unfavorable' location... you don't want your passenger door to open... the 'bad guys' are on that side ... you only want the driver door to open... and hopefully close quickly behind you.

And I'm normally surrounded by bad guys so this is a security feature I can't afford to give up lol.

Didn't know that you could do that though.

I would assume that if there was a bad guy by the passenger side:

1) hes already jacked with my car on that side
2) Hes more than likely on crack or younger than me soeither way he can eaisily get around to my door before I can
3) His bad-buddy(s) is most likely hiding on my side of the car keeping a look out and now is behind me!

Think Id walk by to another car.... JUST LONG ENOUGH TO LOAD A ROUND

Ok, that answers that question. And it makes perfect sense. Thanks Tighed. Now, how about the glossy vs. satin finished consoles?

I'd like a definite reason for the little strap at the top/back of the passenger headrest. Is it REALLY for the dry cleaning, or is it for the child safety seat (which would be an illegal location for the child seat) in most states. I notice it can unsnap. Maybe for extra keys?.. or a vanity mirror for your extra girlfriend in the back of the car? Ideas??

I was fiddling with this strap and the snap button pulled off, a little quick set glue and gently put it back into place and forgot about it. I wouldnt truct it for much
