My 240 is the same story, torn down for a facelift and due to my back problems, won't be able to finish anytime soon. Plus we had to cancel our drifting season due to the economy, so no events = no point in blowing tons of money on a track car that I can't drive

one of the more upright sport bikes like a fz1 or fz6 etc may work better for you with back issues. they are all day comfortable, not quite as hard edged as the others but still good handling and plenty of power.
what tracks did you run the bike at?
Combination of working on cars (repetitive heavy lifting/motion, etc) a few car accidents. what put the nail in the coffin was an allergic reaction to some steroids my doctor put me on which caused me to pass out and fall, landed right on my left hip and totally screwed everything up.
We run at barber, vir, jennings, road atlanta when possible. I think thats pretty much it. We did a small stint as privateer ama team, didnt make it past laguna seca... Too much money. I wasn't a rider at the time, merely crew.
I've looked at the more upright bikes, but if it came down to it I'd still keep my R1 and build an old school bobber.

"Stepmom is city attorney of a local town. I make a phone call anywhere and Im fine. How do you think I got that 90 in a 65 dropped, lol.
Plus I worked with the local country sheriff for 3 years, so that might help a bit too and my grandmother and grandfather were Atlanta P.D and Fulton County P.D. Respect for law enforcement families is huge around here, so I try not to push my luck but its nice knowing I'll be given some slack"

Oh lord lol. Just took another look at my truck. Doors are creased a bit and slightly bowed out. I think buying it back might not be worth it
