Default Wow, I really miss my Crossfire!

I have been in Afghanistan for the past month and dearly miss my Crossfire! These diesel Toyota Living Saloon vans and HMMWV'S really aren't cutting it...

I'll be going on two week mid-tour leave in March, I'm already itching to jump in the drivers seat and work my way through the gears!

Oh the Army life is great. I'm not so sure the Crossfire would hold up too well in these conditions. When I get home I may just have to upgrade. Hmm... SRT6? I think so.

Thanks for your service...

My cousin recently got back from Afghanistan. He is going back... I am pretty sure he will be leaving in April.
Had a few tours in Iran and I think this will be his last tour. Hopefully he will come back safe to his family. His wife is expecting a second child.

Sometimes we beatch and complain about stupid things. We need to appreciate the sacrifices of others.

Iran, are you sure? This could start a world crisis.

Hang in there scrible!
I did 20 in the AF, although never went to the mid east, I did go on a 1 year remote to korea 6 months after getting married.

Funny how I remember Tom Petty's "the waiting is the hardest part" playing while I went stir crazy. That song still brings memback and reminds me that all things shall pass eventually.

Thanks for being there and serving. Instant respect for you my friend.

Scrible, I know how you feel. In 1965 I had an Austin Healy when LBJ told me he needed me to "save the world from democracy" in Southeast Asia. It was a long 2 years. I got to drive a 3/4 ton.
40 years later I got my Crossfire. If I get drafted again I'm driving it to Canada.
Please be careful.
I'm in OKC so post in the South Forum when you get home. I'd like to meet up and buy you a "cold one".
