I didn't see any comments about "you can get any color base model you want......as long as it is black" I think there was a red "special edition" roadster that was a base with SRT6 wheels.

Best advice you got was find someone on the forum fairly local and go for a drive. The SRT6 is very special (and few in number) and while the NA will give you permagrin, the SRT6 paints one on in PERMANENT marker. It sounds like performance (straight line) is important to you, if so you have to at least drive the SRT6. The chin spoiler looks really good and the "whale tale" grows on you plus it really does apply more downforce.

Only thing, is if you want a white one, it will most likely will be a paint job, as the SRT6 did not come from the factory in white, red or yellow.

Took my XF to work today instead of the bike and had a guy in a grocery getter pull 2" off of my a**. Not one to mess with grocery getters I simply gave it a bit more throttle so that I could clear the cars in the right lane so I could get out of this guys way. Once I past the cars i glanced at the speedo to be very surprised I was at 110. It felt like 80 tops and was rock solid stable. And that was all with just a bit of pressure on the go pedal in overdrive! LOL! Love this car!!

Ever since I saw the car review show on Speed where Tommy Kendal took an NA XF to 140 on the autobahn with one finger on the wheel...I was hooked.

wow nice, a good review of the xfire. Every one of the review shows I saw was saying nothing but bad about the car.

yeah that's what I thought lol, top gear was or 5th gear said that it was based off the slk platform and that didn't look good for the crossfire because the slk was an awful platform. I was like WHAT? they are bathmouthing M.Benz? lolz

Just can't get over how nice these cars look. Saw on on youtube but it was a custom car with the big 6.1 v8 in it but it had some schimt cc lines or something... those are some nice looking wheels!

I've been thinking and where I would normally go with the more hp/tq I really want my next car to drive really nice and look good (to me at least) and I'm not worried as much about the hp/tq of the car.

I'm still stumped on if I want a 6 or 5, and the durn roadsters have a slight appeal to me. URG! I'm so indecisive lol

1. We can cure you of the 1/4 mile BS. Next spring come to the Dragon with us. Afterall you're not that far away.
2. If you're unsure about an SRT don't and I'm not kidding when I say dont', Don't drive one. If you do, you'll miss the power. The Whale tail grows on you anyway.
3. Yes the SRT is a Auto, but that's because you can't get an AMG in anything else. Once you learn how the auto works you'll be satisified.
4. Seriously, don't drive an SRT if you have think you want a limited.

lol thanks for the advise. I think when it comes time to buy one, if I can find an srt6 within 500 miles for sale ~15k then I'll go for it. If not then I'm just going to get a NA one. I'm leaning to a While Limited Coupe with Auto now... maybe with a porno red interior.

I'm 64 and my whole life I've been a straight line racer. I always thought of road racers as kinda wimpy. I now know better! When I first took notice of the Crossfire and I was do'n my due dilligence I decided that I wanted either a Black 6 speed or any color SRT6. I found a black one that I wanted, but stupid me got into a ****'n match over $250.00. I lost out on that one and then found my N/A Blaze Red auto. Nothing close to what I wanted. But it is in excellent condition.

I live in south east Ohio. All of our roads are twisties. I gotta tell ya I am have'n the time of my life play'n with this thing everyday! So far I've taken 3 of my 4 young nephews for rides in my car. LOL I've made everyone of um cry. The 4th one refuses to get in my car.

Last night I took the little woman out for dinner. It was great drive'n by the front of the local eatery with everybody outside wait'n on there name to be called and all their eyes just stare'n at my car as I slowly drove by.

Sound advice Nick. It happened to me. After the SRT test drive I never made it to the n/a. And now I have two of them. The hand built AMG supercharged engine with the forged internals probably cost more alone than these cars are selling for now. Couple that with the small production numbers (2016 coupes and 928 roadsters world wide) and these are pretty special cars. I think the n/a cars are great too but the SRT is the most bang for the buck.

Mitchell, I am in Spartanburg if you want to check out an SRT coupe or roadster.

I hear ya, I was out tonight and saw a nice pearl blue one, was a limited coupe with auto but I was drooling. I really want a white limited, and some of those schmit cc line wheels to go on there... then cruise by real slow so everyone can look lol.

I heard that the gear boxes in these cars give you a very disconnected feel while driving though? is that true?

One other question, the really nice sound system? the one with the subs and amplifiers. Which models does that come in? Thanks!

Mitchell

I might have to take you up on this. I would love to have the extra power, it's just finding one that is going to be under 15K
