Default Burning smell, possibly clutch?

Ive put on about a 1k miles on my xfire. I initially thought the burnign smell was simply the clutch breaking, but its continued to smell so it is worrying me. The scent is much more noticeable in the rear, though i can get whiff of it while driving. Any clues as to what is causign the smell? I'm taking it to the dealer nontheless.

I noticed a burning smell a couple of times early on and I've got a manual. I haven't smelled it for a few months now, though.

Since you said the rear, it could be brakes? Unless the wind was blowing to the rear of the car, pushing the clutch scent to the rear.

The smell of a burning clutch is not an easy one to miss. Very foul odor like fish in the hot sun for days. Ew.

Could be a clutch adjustment thing. Dealer should help.

When I test drove a six speed CF, my first 0-60 run caused a noticeable smell, a smell that was most definately clutch. The smell stuck around for a good 15 minutes, the whole while I had to wait for the smell to go away so I could take it back to the dealer! I started from a roll in 1st and banged second pretty good, but nothing that should have warranted getting the clutch hot enough to start to smell. It was enough to scare me into an Autostick, an option I never planned on getting.

just updating on this post. Took it to the dealer and they told me it was just the cats' burning off their excess coating. Thats whatt was giving off the burning, sulfurous smell. To prevent it from getting into the interior leave your vents closed.
