Louvers Or Spoilers?
Just wondering if anyone put Louvers on their crossfire. I would love to see pics. I thought this topic came up once years ago. Just wondering if anyone actually did it. I know it is very 80's and many would think it was tacky.
Also wondering about that Startec spoiler on the wing. I personally love the look and wish I could get one.

You might even be able to use some modified 240/260/280 Z Slats.
I've got an old Z car parked in one of my garages, When I get a chance I'll measure the rear Hatch glass, just to see how close it is to the Crossfire.
I mentioned em awhile back, and actually Louvers really got started in the 60's. You're right, they aren't for everybody, but it's a "retro" look I think the Crossfire could pull off if done right. Say with a blacked out roof, slats, and hatch.
Especially since the late 60's Mustang Fastback was just one of the two cars from the 60's the "Creator" had in mind when he penned the Crossfire Concept car.
I think there are a lot of retro touches and paint jobs that the Crossfire could get away with. All it takes is cash and a little imagination.

I wish somebody came out with one like this photoshopped version.

I think it looks especially good with the wing in it's "aroused" position.
Probably would look best on a Black car.

Hey blacky, you started this thread. Why don't you contact some louver manufacturers to see if they'll build them?

I had louvers on the back and sides of my mustang and the visibility was a little diminished but not terrible. The thing that sucked was the rattle at highway speeds. As far as radio, wouldnt plastic be ok?
I googled and emailed the people at spoilers for less asking them about the possibility of creating rear louvers out of ABS plastic
http://spoilers4less.com/autolouvers...FUmo4AodLhZLZQ
there are many companies that come up on a search

Same here. I had them on my '78 Z28 and had very little difference in visibility. They were metal and I kept them securely clamped down to avoid any rattles.
The only problem I had with them was keeping the black paint looking new. The hot Texas sun was brutal on it. UV resistant plastic would be much better.
