A salvage title isnt a bad thing but it really depends on who did the repairs; a quality shop or billybob's. I would just have it checked out. If its ok then go for it but remember you wont have any resale value with it. We all know that ins cos. total a lot of good cars just based on $$$ and not actual damage.
OH, I dont think you can get a warrenty either

A LIMITED with 50,000 miles for $6,000? TREAD CAREFULLY! Most dealers will advertise that car for $11 to $14,000. Sounds like they want it off the lot - and there has to be a REASON they want it gone that badly.
It's got a salvage title, that's why they're not advertising it for a retail price. Plus winter's here, a sports car can wind up sitting on the lot for the next 4 months. So why not move it so you can use that money to buy an SUV that would be a lot easier to sell this time of year.
It's one of those cars that you just have to check out in person, get a carfax on, and use your best judgement before you make a decission.
We all know how easy it is to total these cars, sometimes just something cosmetic will do it.
The biggest problem I see, is the darn thing is in Washington State, so it couldn't be much further for me to go see.
I'm glad to see the Dealer was up front about it being a Salvaged Vehicle.

But as far as winter coming, I'm watching a Base Black Roadster with 112,000 on it for $10,400 .... waiting to see if they will listen to reason later this month. So far, they are playing hardball.
We'll see.
Got to add my 2 cents here. I own a Lincoln Zepher/MKZ that I bought on a salvage title and after two years we still love the car. Yes the resale is not very good but I don't trade cars very often so I will get my money out of it. Insurance for me was just like any other car covered in full. Shouldn't have any problem buying after market warrenty coverage either. Only thing I would want to know is it a fresh rebuild or were there miles and months of ownership afterward by the previous owner they would have gotten the bugs out. Body work done properly today is just as good as from the factory key words done properly...For that price drive it for two years and resell for $3000 fast and what did you lose?
