I don't think slipping off the clutch has anything to do with the light.
My secret weapon is "Advance Auto" - they read the codes for free.
THEN, you Google the code and learn what you can about what it's telling you.
Worked last month for me when I found corroded wires at the gas tank sensor, telling the computer I had high fuel tank pressure when I REALLY had a bad connection at the pressure sensor.
And letting your foot slip off the clutch isn't what makes you an idiot... I've been an idiot this year and what YOU did does NOT qualify.

I did something backing up the other day. I park near a drain and I have to use my e-brake so I don't roll forward and scuff my front bumper backing out. Something grabbed hard and the car stalled. I was paying half attention. I re started and all was fine. Not sure if you hurt anything I'd have the code pulled. Mine did not fire a code.
Pull you battery ground cable off for 4 minutes. Should re set the light.
People stall these six speed all the time.
Unless you were spinning a 4,000 RPM, I doubt you hurt anything.

I have done that in the big rig....wet foot, big clutch...big embarrassment....lol.....you didn't hurt anything...but a stall like that may have caused the code...do as Franc instructed and see if it clears...it's the same thing as braking so hard as to kill the car...this can cause a code as well...
