Geez just when you figure you have everthing covered (no pun intended), I just want to throw out one more possible danger for winter storage. If you have your xFire in your regular 2 or 3 car garage, all comfortable and nice, and you live in an area where snow and ice are common, when ever you pull your daily drivers into the garage, there is always an accumulation of salt containing snow and ice in the wheel wells and undercarriages. As this accumulation melts, it will find its place on the garage floor.
As this "melted" stuff remains on the floor, it will permeate the garage atmosphere with a humidity and salt. I suppose one could argue that the salt molecules are too heavy to just float around, but there is enuff that can be carried by moisture molecules to attack. Try to at least clean out the icy debris, or best yet if temps allow, hose it down and out. Just sayin.......

A good car cover is a couple hundred, so now you are talking about over $500 for in inside car covering solution - that money tree must be blooming for you
Fortunately, you don't need a "good" car cover. Just a mediocre one. Mine cost $60. The good covers are made to withstand outside use, where the cover may move back and forth and potentially rub/damage your paint. In your garage you don't have to worry about it. The only time the cover moves is when you're putting it on and off.

I also seriously doubt you even need the cover, so long as the car jacket is clean when you put it on. But since I have a cover, I put it on anyway. No sense tempting fate.

Sorry, Ed. I don't remember which size I got. I do remember that the height of the car was the determining factor - definitely not the length. It was close to the next smaller size - which was cheaper. But I'm glad I got the larger size, as the cover is just-right as far as height/width.

All I did to size it was looked up the height width and length of the Crossifre and took the jacket that fit all those dimensions.
