Default XFIRE won't start.

Ignition lighting blinked a few times on the road during a hot day. Car stopped and restarted once but wouldn't change gear and ran rough. Stopped again but wouldn't restart at all. not even a murmur though all ignition lighting worked. Fault seems to be draining the battery too. Already spent $1000 with local dealer trying all fault diagnosis and no result. all soldering on RCM apparently good.
Desperately looking for some clues.

Be more specific, does the engine turn over. 'Not a murmur' could mean anything. The soldered joints look good who says ? etc....

To the OP...... what does the dealer have to say about the issue after spending 1K already? Will the dealership make it right, since what they did, didn't resolve the issue, or do they want more $ to look further into this issue? How many miles have you put on after the dealer apparently fix the problem?

I just bought a 2005 Limited Coupe (01/27/2010)...... and I'm about ready to sell it, possibly after I get it back from the dealer (Chrysler)..... had I did my homework, like reading different section on this forum being buying, very doubtful I'd be a XFire owner today. Just anothe example of the old saying..... beauty is only skin deep...... what's under it, is really what counts..... some are luckier than others I guess (LOL).

Car ownership can be frustrating/depressing from time to time, regardless of what make/model....new or used.
