cabin fever = studded snow tires??

Default cabin fever = studded snow tires??

anyone out there ever put studded snow tires on their crossfire?.......i'm getting cabin fever. if you have.....how did you do it and for how much $

I gotta imagine it won't be cheap since the sizes are rare as is.

If anything, just wait for a cold day with decent roads. That's what I do. Just make sure you give her a good wash before you're done.

Got them on my winter beater 97 ford ranger in back only! Cost me $105 bucks for the 2 mounted & balanced !! Not bad they are only 14" rims !!!!! My crossfire never see the winter day !!!!!!

How much snow are you driving in up there? We have had a near record winter for snowfall this year in Indy and I have no issues at all getting around on my blizzak LM-25s in OEM sizes. They cost between $650-$800 depending on the sale at the time, but well worth it if you need/want to get around.

Haven't tried studded tires, Nokian snow tires worked well, 18 in wheels all around. The car is really well balanced in the snow and ice. Its a blast to do doughnuts on an unplowed parking lot! I always wash it every week. The 18 in rear wheels lower the rear end enough that you don't need weight in the trunk. If you add too much weight to the trunk you will take weight off the nose and lose traction and braking up front. Have fun, the XF is as much fun driving in the winter as in the summer, just different.

I know why you need studded tires, but in many states (like Minnesota) they are illegal.
