Default Three Hot Cold Laps

Just finished three very hot cold laps at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway at a charity event. Limited to 75 mph, but snuck it up to 92 out of turn 3. I don't think I ever went to 5th. What fun! Pic links below.

That's the same Laps for Charity event that we do at the Texas Motor Speedway: Texas Motor Speedway - Running of the Xfires IV - Sept. 11th

It is a lot of fun. Especially when you can do it with a group of Crossfires.

Our next event will be May 7th.

Know what you mean Boiler, we're predicted to get anywhere from 4 to 10 inches with 40 MPH winds, starting tonight thru Tuesday.

Vegas, did you get the dent fixed yet? Were they able to match the Machine Grey to your satisfaction?

Yup. $1150 for a ripple you had to look hard to see. They matched it flippin' perfect. Still don't know how you get a three color metal flake to match.

For you snow people, I'm originally from Detriot (20 yrs gone), and your comments prompt a response as follows: Neener neener neener.

JK, but feel free to move here, buy a house, and fix the housing over-supply.

Incidentally, four years ago my little office building was assessed at fmv $440k. Today, $165k

Good to hear about the paint, after I go over 100,000 miles on my 07 Machine Grey I think I'll have the front bumper redone. We might get 12 inches of snow in the next 24 hours.....

How much did you pay for it originally?

Getting a dose of rain now, which is freezing in some spots, and expecting sleet and then about the same amount of snow or slightly more than you.

Hang in there, it will correct itself. 4 years ago, the pendulum had swung too far towards the high side, now the pendulum has swung too far in the other direction.

Nothing like it, huh? I got some laps on LVMS before it opened in '96 in one of my LT1 Caprice plain cars. Coming out of turn 3 at less than 110 seems like you're doing 50. My bigger thrill was that same year at the Brickyard 400. Ralph Englestad LVMS owner sent me, my Sgt and an officer to the 400 for a week "to get a feel for traffic control at a major racing event". We had pit and garage passes and got to flog one of the Camaro pacecars around the track several times. Race day we were in the control tower for the whole day.

I miss going to the LAS VEGAS BUG-IN every year out there at LVMS. All the companies around the speedway were very hospitable too, giving tours, and letting you come on in while they were working on a rail, or engine assembly.... pretty cool place to visit if you are ever in vegas, even if there is nothing going on at the tracks.
