Crossfire Recall - Radiator Hose

Just got my Crossfire back from the dealer after having an oil change. They said there was a recall that went out on the 22nd about repositioning a radiator hose, that was apparently rubbing or melting. Very simple 15 minute fix that just requires a technician to move the hose. We should all be getting something in the mail about it soon.

I was just at the Chrysler web page and they're calling it a "Customer Satisfacation Notification" Is this the new name for a Recall or is this just a voluntary repair to some cars? I've never been invovled with a recall so I never seen a recall letter before.

You would smell / see this before it ever had a chance to ruin a motor or disable a vehicle. However the "service bulletin" it is out there to make a simple adjustment to prevent this from ever happening.
This isn't a huge issue, it only effects some vehicles outlined in the Service Bulletin. All in all, get yours checked out so you don't have to mess with it later =)
Chrysler diferrentiates between recall types.
Some are for safety reasons:
Safety Recall blah blah blah
Others are to increase customer satisfaction:
"Cusrtomer Satisfaction notification"
IE- Your radiator hose rubbing on the radiator shroud in time may cause a leak... It will however, not cause your brakes to fail and for you to not avoid Bambi standing in the road.. SQUISH!
