Filled up yesterday @ $1.939 and I'm getting 23 mpg w/ A/C on and mix of 60% Interstate and 40% city. Without A/C 25 mpg.

 

No 91 octane here, just 93 at $2.40 per gallon. I started out at 22 mpg 60/40 city highway.

With 1200 miles now it feels like the mileage is going up, even though I'm now driving with more of a lead foot! (now that it's broken in. . .)

Last fill-up here in Connecticut was 2.37 for 93 Octane. I don't know what kind of mileage I'm getting because the answer would just emphasize the fact that I can't keep my foot off the gas.

I found an Upsolute dealer here in CT and will have chip done in a week or so. I'm going with K&Ns at the same time and I'm lookng into new exhaust/muffler.

For anyone interested, the dealer is "My Garage" in Naugatuck.

 

We have 95 octane normal UL for us in the UK, but it is 81.9p a litre !

 

81.9p a litre = about �’4 per UK gallon = US$ 6.05 per US gallon

Now you know why we drive little cars!

 

I'm in Germany, I filled up on the military installation-93 octane with fuel light on = $26.85.
I'll have to do the fuel gauge test. I drive mostly on the auto bahn 7 miles to work. I have 850 miles on my car.

 

I'm getting 26 MPG. :lol: Gas this week was $2.495 for 93 OCt. :cry:

 

First 100% highway drive. With 93 octaine at $2.09 per gallon, 65 mph and cruise contol most of the time, I got over 33 mpg. I was very pleased with the mpg but it was murder not zipping around like I usually do.

 

We just got home from California - probably 95% highway - we got just over 27 mpg. 91 Octane in CA was $2.43 / Gal. Just about the same price as Vegas.

I filled up today - prices are dropping back down around here - $1.99 per gal for 93 octane at either Shell, BP. or Marathon.

I am getting about 23 mpg - 60% city - 40% highway - with the air conditioner on most of the time.

 

Only have about 500 miles on it. Pay between $2.06 and $2.19 for 93 octane. Got 26.5 mpg on last tank, and I drive, well, let's say aggressively. If it's there, I pass it. Mostly highway and slow rural/small town with very little traffic light action.

 

I average about 23 miles per gallon with my six speed... with triple digit speeds on the freeway daily... and a/c on at all times. Last week I payed $2.30 per gallon, but this week it went down to about $2.19 or so for 93 octane

 

I got 93 Octane Citgo @ $1.919 today, in York County, Va.

 

Just filled up on the way home. 93 Octane Shell, $2.069 per gallon.

 

you're all very lucky, i'm still looking for the job (just graduated) and I want to get a crossfire, can't afford it yet. For now i drive my 150hp eclipse and still only get 18-19mpg. I wish i could get 220hp and still have better fuel economy. I'm in SD too, the most expensive place in the country for gas. It'll probably cost me 35$ to fill my tank on the way home, at least i only have to buy 87 octane.

 

Am paying about 2.15 for 93 octane have been getting 26 - 28 mpg out of my 6 speed. I have found that shifting from 1st to 2nd to 4th to 6th (when not in need of speed) seems to help quite a bit. Got the idea from the automatic smart transmission

 

Does that really help gas mileage? I know nothing about mechanics, but I would think you would be over-revving in second to keep it from lugging in 4th...wouldn't both of those conditions cause more gas consumption?

 

I have been doing this for the past few tanks and have seen an increase in gas mileage of 1 - 2 mpg. I have not been reving past 4000 (for the most part) and have not experiened any lugging

 

Wow...I'll try it...we'll see if I can break a 25 year driving habit, tho!
