Default Electrical oddness

I posted on the roadster section (Beep beep) a while ago that my car kept beeping at me at 90mph, even though the wing was up. Then it stopped pretty much on its own. Then it started again. Next the car didn't want to start, just started to turn over then nothing, turn key back off again, try again starts perfectly normally. So as everyone on here reckons the battery lasts less time than fake Duracells I got a new one. All fine again for 2 days, then the starting thing again, and this morning the wing stayed up. So I suspect I've replaced a perfectly good battery (only 45 quid but...), anyone got any more ideas? RCM? CPS? Wheel sensor? I really don't want to just start replacing things for fun. Odd thing though the car is running quicker, but still get an occasional misfire when pulling away in second after being a bit vigourous.

I had a similar problem about 6 months ago. My wing would automatically come up if i was sitting at a red light or waiting on a fill up. I thought I was going crazy at first. Then the not cranking thing started happening. I would go to crank the car, it wouldnt crank the first time then I would wait a few seconds, try it again and it would crank right up. About 3 or 4 days after this started happening I was about to leave work and it wouldn't crank at all. Had it towed to the dealer and they told me I needed a new battery at first, which they were happy to sell me for $180. Upon furhter investigation it wasnt the battery it was the battery cables that needed to be replaced. They were all rotted out!!! That replaced them in no time and it was about $45.

Yea, check the cables. Mine did that, the wing would b up and over 90mph it would start beeping. The light on the wing switch would be blinking too...

I have had the same problem. I know that one of my battery battery cables is pretty damn corroded. Thank you. I will have them exchanged once the car has arrived!

Sorry to be a while. Took the car in for a service and mot (UK). No problems found, cables ok, and all is working normally again at the moment so I'm a bit puzzled. I think I'll look at and resolder the relay module anyway as it doesn't look too hard.
