Default Question about relays

In the RCM, which relay is not getting power when you have the "Mystery No-Start" problem? Or when the car dies at the traffic light? Just wondering. I re-soldered mine. Works great!

Thanks!

I think you are resoldering the power connections to the whole board.

All the electric stuff seemed to work, but I didn't try the horn. That's one of the relays. But you're probably right.

I think it is the fuel pump but I'm not sure.

A couple months ago, I had a P0140 code, which is the air pump. Since I had lots of bad solder joints on the RCM, I might have fixed that problem, too.

So, probably the whole relay board goes dead, but the fuel pump would certainly explain why the car just sits there in the middle of the road.

Everytime I see a thread on the RCM and bad solder joints, it always seems to mostly involve the '04, or '05 Model years. (Not a scientic survey, but just my observations).

Would this be because the issue was addressed by Chrysler on later model years, or might it be that the older the Model, the more chances that vibration , or ware and tear, might be a factor here...

(although any bad or cold solder joints had to come straight from the factory, or board maker)...

Inquiring minds would like to know...
