It's dumb question time
Gents,
Do ALL Crossfires have the Tire Pressure Monitoring System? I have a basic model Coupe, 2005. I'm wondering if I don't have it.
When I turn the ignition on, all the lights light up except the TPMS. Maybe the bulb is burnt out?
My tires have rubber valve stems. Doesn't the TPMS have metal valve stems?
Thanks, guys.
Tom G.

Early base models did not have TPMS. The rubber valve stems are the first clue for the Crossfire.
However, some other manufacturers use a sensor on a strap around the inside of the rim, allowing regular rubber valve stems.

I've got a 2007 base coupe. It doesn't have the tire pressure monitoring system and I'm glad it doesn't. From all that I've read, it's more problems - not worth it, in my opinion.
they are a waste...hopefully the bulbs burn out soon....lol.....seriously, they do serve a purpose, but for what I like to do, it really doesn't matter. I like to check my tires before trips and playing....anyway...I quess I don't trust the "gadgets"...

i have a 2005 base coupe. no tire pressure monitor. one of the bonuses of having a base coupe.
Well, the feature would be of value for a slow leak, or just a long term neglect of checking your tire pressure. BUT, I can testify that at 85 mph (when you have a massive blowout) it is of NO value!!!

They are a good idea, low tire pressure means more gas used, damaged tires and potential danger.
To answer your question, no. No base model produced came with TPMS. People could have put it on afterwards, but it never came standard on our trim line.
I find this a very good thing. One less thing to go wrong, and if there was one problem with the XF, it would be electrical things having problems. I don't mean to say that XF's have electrical problems, just that when they do, it usually has something to do with something electrical, since the mechanical stuff on this car is pretty rock solid.
