New headlight

Default New headlight

Just love this forum, and was wondering if anybody could help with finding a new left headlight or one in as new condition, mine has got some UV damage, and would love to replace it. Being over here in Australia its hard to find such things easily, would really appreciate some help in locating one, new or second hand, Cheers Exocet

Absolutely no reason to buy another one just for UV damage. 3M Headlight restorer will make it look like new in less than an hour. I just did.

Thanks guys, have bought the headlight restorer, but also have indicated that i will put in an offer for the headlights as well, so much appreciated on both counts.

Well, did the headlights with a restorer and they came up absolutely fantastic, so thanks guys, actually i had one replaced on insurance a coupla weeks ago [ a long story!], but the damage it had was some UV damage and some minor paint impregnation on the perspex, that the bodyworks and insurance company decided couldn't be repaired, so at AUS $1,600 replaced it. I used the $37 headlight repair kit on it and MAGIC! it fixed it so now i have a spare right hand headlight, so i wont put an offer on those headlights after all! Another reason to be on this great forum! Exocet

Yep, kept the old headlight, and as i said did it with the headlight restorer as well and it came up a treat, that's what the insurance company should have done too, so i've got a spare right headlight now.

Always good to have a spare. Is the Austrailian spec the same as the UK spec..........do you have adjustment available from the dashboard or only on the lamp housing?

While that may be the case for some, I wouldn't say there is no reason to buy new. I have a very early cross and have condensation damage *inside* the lamp. It can be seen on to bottom of the lamp where water accumulates. Unfortunately, I've wetsanded and polished a few times to spruce them up but they're still noticeable.
