Default HVAC blower motor

I had a problem yesterday. I turned on my A/C and nothing happened. The blower did not activate. I turned the blower speed switch a few times and still nothing, then all of a sudden the blower motor is on full speed no matter what position I have the switch in. Also it does not go out even when I turn the key off. I have had to disconnect the battery to avoid it going dead. Today is a holidy in Canada. I will call the dealer tomorrow. I hope it is just a relay or switch or something simple. I hope not a complicated electical problem. I will keep you all posted.

Man, that blows.

That really is a strange problem. Sounds like the blower motor connection itself has shorted. Good luck and let us know!

I don't know for sure, but I would guess that there is a fuse you could pull to stop the blower motor instead of disconnecting the battery. Might be a little easier.

It looks like it is the A/C power head. They ordered a new one will be in in 3-5 days.

The problem is fixed. It was the blower motor resistor. They relaced it and so far so good.
