Roadster automatic starts in 2nd gear
Recently, my 2007 automatic simply wouldn't go when I hit the gas. When I took it to a dealer, they said it was the gas pedal and replaced it. Now I noticed that the car is starting in 2nd gear, when in the "drive" mode. When I put it in 1st gear, it works fine. Before I bring it back to the dealer and they tell me it's a problem unrelated to the replacement of the gas pedal, I was wondering if anyone has experience/opinion on this issue.
I'm already guessing that you have the transmission mode switch in the "S" position and not the "W" position?

Silly as it sounds Tighed1 may be right.
You are driving in winter mode.
That the dealer did not notice would be of no surprise to anyone here.

LOL... Dealer says.... swap the pedal. I will be surprised if it is not the rocker switch next to the shifter being in the "W" position instead of "S" like the others have said.
My friend told me once that if I could learn to laugh at myself, I'd never be without entertainment. Well, I'm laughing! I considered all sorts of exotic problems and possible solutions. Of course, it was exactly as you said. It was set on W. Thanks to all who straigtened me out. I only wish I'd have looked around for an SRT. Just not enough power. It's not like adding power to my AMC motors. Since you obviously have a hot car, maybe you can suggest some things that I can add....to find maybe an extra 40hp to the rear wheels??

Contact Jake or Jerry at Eurocharged for a remote tune.
They will find that 40 HP.
These mods have added 50+ HP to my NA.
A sprint booster will add some zip. No HP, just better throttle control.
See SRT SIX for that.
You will love the added performance of these three relatively simple mods.
